The fall harvest is a time for gathering with family and friends to celebrate the abundance of food.
Historically, pumpkins started as a symbol of the harvest because they grow in abundance this time of year. Fall harvest rituals such as pumpkin carving and even apple picking draw people outside into nature while celebrating the colourful changing of the season.
We also will see an increase in pumpkin-inspired recipes this time of year to celebrate its harvest.
